Wow.. some nice points here.. one being: "And where she had been likely to come off second-best in a confrontation with the father due to simple biology, now it is the children who are more likely to suffer, particularly the smaller children that research shows women have a tendency to target."

I remember in melbourne many years ago at a workshop where a young female social worker from NZ said she was with some Professors in Edinburg and they were all debating (arguing) the best ways to bring up children, or treat children or something in this direction and she was fed up with their attitudes and said, "while you all argue with each other there are children suffering out their in the world who need real help!" **something like that.. and this is what I often think about with all these poltiicans and their shit and it is world wide..

I feel strange saying this, but after I saved the comment above I thought : why is this all about females, especially where children are involved, anyway? Why is the focus on Mothers.. I guess this is what you are saying Lori and if that is so, then I just caught it.. it is actually not just about mothers or fathers but the children... which leads me to think that those with Power over societies don't care about children either, along with Men...

It's a valid question Jamie. Yes I am trying to make children the focus of our attention, and for much of modern discourse that means displacing women who occupy that privileged position (through no fault of their own, I might add). If I focus on female (particularly maternal) problems, its because mainstream media is busy calling out male violence and poor male behaviour. As a man, I have no problem with that: but I do want to see equality, and I want children prioritised.
